WYM began with a simple idea: to make quality art supplies more accessible to anyone looking to create.
Like many others, I spent years wanting to return to painting but found it difficult to justify the cost of materials, especially when starting out or self-funding a creative practice. Motivation was only part of the equation; access was the real challenge.
That’s where WYM comes in. We may not offer the cheapest tools on the market, but we focus on products that are built to last, made by skilled artisans who have spent years refining their craft. We aim to support artists at every stage: beginners, professionals, freelancers, or anyone simply curious about art.
Why It Matters
While studying design at university, I realised how hard it was to hold onto that feeling of creative freedom. Between paper, paints, brushes, and everything else, the costs added up fast, and experimenting started to feel like a luxury. But it’s also the part that makes you grow.
WYM was created to make space for that again. We believe in tools that encourage play, not pressure, thoughtfully chosen supplies that stay with you as your practice evolves, so you can focus on the work itself, not what’s holding you back.
Where We're Going
We’re starting with the essentials, quality brushes and curated kits for watercolor and gouache, two mediums that reward patience, layering, and control. Our selections are artist-tested and chosen with both beginners and experienced creators in mind.
